Welcome to Magenta Occupational Therapy, my independent occupational therapy practice based in the West Midlands offering a range of services to children and young people both face to face and virtually. I have always been passionate about Occupational Therapy, and value the opportunity to help and support young people as they develop through to adulthood. I am a registered Occupational Therapist with the Royal College of Occupational Therapy (registration BT0808970) with a B.Sc Hons (1st class) in Occupational Therapy from Coventry University.  I am registered to practise with the Health Care Professional Council (HCPC registration OT68563).

Recognised BUSS Practitioner (Building Underdeveloped Sensorimotor Systems) Level 2 with Level 3 Practicum

Trained Sleep Practitioner Trained in ASI WISE Ayres Sensory Integration for Mental Health and Wellbeing training - Member of Special Interest communities of practice for Learning Disabilities, Mental Health, Schools and Sensory Based Feeding & Eating Difficulties

My specialist area of interest is neurodiversity and I have attended the Oliver McGowan training and also Certified Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist (ASDCS)  


PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND
I have worked in a professional capacity as an Occupational Therapist for over 13 years working with children and young adults up to the age of 25 as an NHS Occupational Therapist, with prior work with children within educational and social environments since the 1980s.  I have worked privately as a Therapist for over 10 years, offering a range of standardised and non-standardised assessment alongside intervention work.
My unique background in both Paediatric and CAMHS Occupational Therapy have enabled me to train and work extensively with children aged 0 to 25 years as a dual trained Occupational Therapist.   
As an Occupational Therapist my professional clinical settings include Community Paediatrics, Tier 4 Child and Adolescent Mental Health inpatient, Community Child and Adolescent Mental Health, Eating Disorders, Learning Disability services, Crisis and Home Treatment 0 to 25 years, Early Intervention Psychosis and Looked After Children. 
I have written for the professional publication of the Royal College of Occupational Therapy.
